What are some risk factors for Periodontal Disease?

Risk factors include poor dental hygiene, poorly contoured fillings or crowns, poor nutrition, smoking, chewing tobacco, high levels of stress, diabetes, Down's Syndrome, AIDS, and taking certain medications. Genetics can also play a role.
